What is Bachelor of Travel and Tourism management?

BTTM or Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management is a 3-year undergraduate degree that is divided into 6 Semesters. The course is designed in a way that it deeply teaches the skills that are required to become a good Travel Planner and Tour Guide with both theoretical and practical approach of Travel and Tourism sector, also this course provides the students with knowledge in Business Management, Human Resources, Marketing Fundamentals, Sustainability, Cross-culture awareness and more.

The BTTM course includes various parts of tourism such as travel and tourism for pleasure, business, Business Laws, accommodation, etc. The Core subjects in Bachelor of Travel and Tourism are Travel Geography, Tourism Research Methodology, Tourism Planning and Policies, Business Statistics and Information, Tourism Products, etc.

The Scope of BTTM is tremendous which has Job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. In public, the opportunities provided are as the directorates of departments of tourism, Assistant Officer, Tourism Guide, etc. In the private sector, there are opportunities in Travel Agencies, Hotels, Transport and Cargo companies, Airlines, Tour Operators, Catering Supervisor, Cabin Crew, Hospitality Executive, and much more. 

A Travel and Tourism graduate can pursue his/her career as a Travel Agent, Tourism Manager, Travel Officer, Travel Agency coordinator, Tourist Guide, Travel Counselor, Transport Officer, etc. or can go for higher education in Masters of Travel and Tourism Management, MBA in Travel and Tourism, Post Graduate Diploma in Management, etc.
