What is BA Economics?

BA Economics or Bachelor of Arts in Economics is a 3-Year Undergraduate course in Economics which is divided into 6 semesters. This course focuses on the interrelation between the economy and society, and to consider economic problems from a global perspective and take local approach for solving them.

The Core subjects to study in BA Economics course are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Quantitative Methods for Economic Analysis, Fiscal Economics, Indian Economic Development, Financial Economics, International Economics, Economics of Growth and Development, etc. The specialization in this course depends on the college you choose. 

After the completion of BA Economics, you can find Job opportunities as an Economist, Finance and Budget Analyst, Banker, Market Analyst, Business or Economic Writer/Journalist, Investment Administrator and Analyst, Sales Executive, or Analyst, Human Resources, Operations Manager, etc. Apart from these, there are a lot of Job openings for BA Economics graduates in Government sectors such as The Government Banks, Civil Services, and Indian Statistical Services.
