In this article we have provided the step by step procedures that you need to know before applying for the Calicut University Admission of 2020 for UG.
procedure to apply for the calicut university online application:
The Online Application of Calicut University Admission of 2020 will be conducted in Two Phases:
Phase 1: Submission of Application
Phase 2: Fee Payment
In Phase 1 you have to Register for CAP ID and fill up your application form.
Phase 1 - Submission of Application
The submission of application is done in 4 steps.
Step 1 – CAP ID Generation
Visit the official website http://www.cuonline.ac.in/ug/ of University of Calicut and click “Apply Now” button to apply for calicut university admission 2020.
Now you will be redirected to the details required page.
The details required in here are,
- Your Name
- Date of Birth (copy of SSLC)
- Mobile Number (mobile number of student/parent/guardian)
- E-mail ID (email id of student/parent/guardian)
- Address
- Aadhar Number
- Plus 2 Registration Number
- Board of Examination
- Year of Passing
- Stream
- Number of chances taken to pass qualifying examination
After entering the required details click the “REGISTER” button.
You will receive your CAP ID and Password to the Mobile Number and E-mail ID that you submitted during the registration.
Now you have to select “Student Login” option from http://www.cuonline.ac.in/ug/ and enter the recieved CAP ID and Password to move to next step.
Note: While entering CAP ID, you have to enter CAP20UG first and then enter the 6 digit code you have recieved. (Example: CAP20UG121212)
Step 2 – Students Profile
Fill in the blank fields with the proper details such as, Father’s name, Caste, Religion, Mother’s name, Present Address, Permanent Address, Annual Income, Alternate Mobile Number, Weightage (if there is any).
- Enter the number of chances taken to pass the qualifying examination.
- Choose the board of qualifying examination.
- Enter your stream of study of the qualifying examination (Science/Commerce/Humanities)
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subcategory of people belonging to the General Category having an annual family income less than ₹8 lakhs and who absolutely do not belong to any reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC(Central list).

Upload your passport size photo in .jpg format. The size of photo should be under 60 KB.
(Suggestion: if you are doing by yourself and find difficulty in resizing image use this link https://www.iloveimg.com/resize-image, Choose 150px width and 200px height for best result)
Be careful while entering your reservation details, because once the application is submitted you cannot edit it.
After completing this step click “Save and Proceed” to move to next step.
Step 3 – Qualification details
Enter the details of your Qualification in the specified fields,
The marks of your passed examination will be automatically displayed on the screen, verify them. If not, enter the marks.
(Recheck and confirm all the details that you have entered are correct)
After completing this step click “Save and Proceed” to move to next step.
Step 4 – College and Course selection
In this step you have to select the Colleges and Courses that you prefer,
You can choose a total of 20 courses. The courses can be from the same college, or different courses from different colleges. You can inter-mix your selections according to your convenience, i.e, same course from different colleges or different courses from the same college or different colleges. If you are applying through Community Quota, you can add 5 more courses to your list.
You have to be extra careful while listing colleges because the allotment process will be based on priority and index marks.
After completing all 4 steps you can preview each options to ensure the entered details are correct by clicking the “Take Draft Print” button.
Click the “Final Submit & Pay” button to complete the application and now you will be redirected to payment page.
Phase 2 - Fee Payment
Select your mode of payment:
- State Bank Online Payment
- Debit/Credit Card
- Akshaya/Friends Janasevana Kendram
- Post Office
The Application Fee Structure are as following:
General: Rs. 280
SC/ST: Rs. 115
Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) page where you have to select the choice of payment.
Note that Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Now you can take the printout of College copy and Candidate copy of the application, the candidate copy should be kept with you and the college copy should be submitted to the college where you got allotted.

After the final submission if you find any mistakes or want to change any option, then you have to contact the nearest Nodal Officer and submit proper proofs to make changes in your application.
